About Estate Homes
Estate homes can be defined as larger than normal private residences with large parcels of land and usually with multiple buildings situated on the land. Though the coastal areas of Broward County certainly have their share of multi-million dollar properties, one may venture to Western Broward County to find the larger estate homes. Plantation, Davie, Parkland, Weston and many other Cities provide landscape dotted with sprawling, mansion type homes, with multi-acre lots and often horse stables, tennis courts, and elaborate gardens or private lakes.
That is not to say that you have to be a horse owner to have an estate home. Take for example, Windmill Ranch Estates in the City of Weston. These homes situated in a private community, surrounded by water (lakes), are by most considered to be mansions that offer a heightened sense of privacy and security for their multi-millionaire owners. If it’s your intention to have a home with a wine cellar, guest and service quarters, and even a bowling alley, then an estate home is one way to go.
